The Depot Restaurant - Seaview features casual fine dining offering a Chef's Table to watch owner Chef Michael Lalewicz perform his magic from a display kitchen. The covered heated deck adds outdoor seating. A northwest and international wine list offers 16 wines by the glass, five microbrews and a hard cider on-tap. This 132 year old train station from the peninsula's Clamshell Railroad feels like a French Bistro especially when seated at the 9 seat counter reminding one of the Orient Express. Northwest Palate claims "Lalewicz has food angels in the kitchen" and food writer Gerry Frank of the Oregonian declares "the Depot is one of the best Dinner Houses in the Northwest"

Our menu is farm-to-table, changes based upon what is fresh this week & our culinary team offers chalkboard menu items regularly. You'll find our menu is seafood forward, but it is worth noting there's always something special on deck for the vegetarian and carnivore in the group.     4Jan2025-This was our 2nd time to The Depot. Did not disappoint!! Wild boar gnocchi had a great flavor and super tender with tasty sauce. My husband had rack of lamb and devoured everything down to the bone…his new favorite!! Bread pudding was wonderful warm, with the sauce and scoop of ice cream. Service was great and food was hot, which can be my pet peeve at restaurants if not served hot….truly exceptional!

    The server and the trainee were very nice and efficient. The food is always good and the restaurant location is perfect for us. We were disappointed to find out when we got here “not when we made the reservation” they were not serving breakfast. Not that previous notification about no breakfast would have changed our plans to visit but we would have made breakfast plans in advance. Full disclosure means no surprises and/or disappointment.

    Excellent restaurant in every respect; food, service, decor, you name it. This is a genuine diamond in the rough. I will never understand how a small town restaurant can find such talented kitchen staff. Pretty amazing. You won't be disappointed.
