    Restaurant was great! We were there to celebrate a birthday as a couple and we both really enjoyed the food. The meat was amazing and a great range of sides to choose from- we both left very satisfied and very full. The staff were attentive and we didn’t have to wait long at all in such a busy restaurant. Would definitely revisit.

    A favourite for afternoon tea for years but this one was exceptional and would highly recommend. The presentation was a wow and will guess there is a wizard in the pastry staff. Much appreciated as is a regular haunt for anniversary.

    Went to this restaurant with my family. We're all vegetarian/vegan, and I grew up in Hong Kong and greatly enjoy Asian cuisine. All of the dishes were delicious! (we got spring rolls, prawns, mixed vegetables and tofu, Thai style chicken and Cantonese style char siu). No complaints about the food: price and portion sizes were very reasonable. Would 100% recommend, and I'd love to come back the next time I'm in York :)

    Food was outstanding. Staff were polite and friendly and very attentive. The decor was lovely and the ambiance relaxed and friendly.

    Lovely afternoon tea in the Garden Room. The sandwiches were nice and the scones were great, they were warmed and served with jam and clotted cream. We had the festive afternoon tea which meant the cakes were festive themed, I would prefer them be the usual cakes. I wasn’t a fan of the Christmas pudding or mince pie flavour. Overall, it was great. I would go back for regular afternoon tea but not the festive one due to the cakes. Service was amazing
