A locally owned Madison favorite, Otto's is set in a beautifully restored 1870s stone farm house with two dining levels. For those of you who are not current or former gauchos who roam the prairies of Brazil, you might need an explanation of our style of service. At the end on a long day of work tending to cattle and stock, Brazilian cowboys (Gauchos) and their families would prepare great feasts. They would skewer various meats, roast them over a fire pit and bring them to the table for carving. Took family for a new year celebration. Everyone loved their meals. The brussel sprout appetizer was a Star! Dawn was a lovely server, kind and prompt, which was great for a holiday with a big party. A little pricey, $300 for apps, dinners and meals for five with no booze. But also quality ingredients and creative offerings!

The Statehouse was so beautifully decorated for the holidays! Your waitstaff was so friendly and kind and all of your food on New Year’s Day was delish! The Eggs Benedict’s were so good and the salad had a lovely dressing!! And your peach Bellini w/ fresh rosemary was yummy!! We sooo loved the jazz keyboardist and drummer!! Your Jazz Brunch was a lovely way to ring in the year and our party of 4 would like to make it a tradition!

Cozy and intimate tables, inviting bar, perfect restaurant for romantic dates or special occasions. Food was expertly prepared to our specifications, using high quality fresh ingredients. Very good wine and cocktail menu, excellent service. What’s not to love about Ruth’s Chris?
