From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. We had a lovely Valentine's Dinner at the Wild Goose Tavern and everyone was delicious! Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked. Shrimp Scampi was wonderful too! We ended the meal sharing a chocolate lava cake - OMG - so so good. We had a terrific time.

Delightful! As locals here for the first time, we had heard that it was noisy and out-of-this-world expensive. We found neither to be true. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, the pace of service, and our server Amy was excellent.
