For 20years, Chef Victor Wang and Owner Chiara Covelli have reigned over their highly acclaimed restaurant… Zen Forrest… known for its Chinese, Korean, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and Singapore. When the lease came up at Zen Forrest and they couldn't stay Chiara thought it might be the end of Zen Forrest in New Port Richey. As good things do happen, with the assistance of the new partner, Jay Patel, he found the perfect location on Grand Boulevard in downtown New Port Richey. It is a larger restaurant accommodating over 150 guests, with a Sushi Bar and a sociable, full liquor cocktail bar.     We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant was packed and buzzing with energy. We were seated on time and the service was amazingly good considering the crowd. Our Thanksgiving feast was exceptionally good...we started with pumpkin soup, then turkey (both light and dark meat), dressing, roasted veggies, potatoes, gravy and ended with praline pumpkin cheesecake. All was accompanied by Cooper Hawk wine. It was a lovely dinner!

    Our server, who was also the bartender had very little personality. She seemed like she was off in another world and really didn't want to be there. The food was excellent the drinks were overpriced. I'd go again

    All of the food was great with the exception of snow crab. They would not come out of the shell..and I am an expert at getting them out.The shells were not crisp..kind of flexible and would not crack..just collapsed, and the meat came out in strands. I did not say anything as we were with good friends and did not want to ruin the meal experience for everyone else. This is the 1st time the crab legs have not been excellent at Red Lobster...so I would definitely go there again.
