Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. We're also more than happy to accommodate business dinners or other special occasions in private rooms.

Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread. There are a dozen types of pancakes, decadent waffles and French Toast offered. The restaurant also features a full page of plant-based options.     What a great find! The food was awesome. We had the Hush Puppies they were huge and delicious. Oyster Rockefeller and fresh Oysters. Both were fantastic and fresh. We also had the stuffed Avocado with shrimp and crab. Plenty enough to split. The shrimp was a large size too. The fave of the meal for sure. We can’t wait to go back.

    Excellent food and gracious service; however, they only serve one size of wine glass, which I consider large. I’d appreciate them offering a 4-oz glass of wine.

    Our first time at Draper’s in Fairfax and it was awesome! Had a family of 8, and everything was managed really well. Our server(s) were on point and very nice, and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend Draper’s, and we will definitely be back regularly.

    We had a lovely pre Christmas lunch there today. The food was excellent and the wait staff were really very nice. We had chicken entrees and both (parmigiana and marsala) and both were excellent. Lots of food so we had leftovers for the next day. Definitely putting this on our repeat visit list.
