Dining options are available at The Hitching Post 6 days a week. Elizabeth and I were very excited to open our restaurant in Downtown Stuart. After years of visiting our parents our hearts led us back here each time we considered a different location. Our son Taylor (our Executive Chef) and I, both have a culinary education and all three of us are extremely passionate about quality food,drinks and hospitality. We thoroughly enjoy taking great care of our guests. “the Gafford” is named after my grandparents who taught us how to enjoy life, have fun and laugh (especially at ourselves). My grandfather was in the Air Force and hospitality business all of his life and taught me so much about business, cooking and hospitality. I can remember when I was young visiting my grandparents on their farm. My grandfather used to teach me how to grill. My favorite dish to cook together was a giant Ribeye steak. On our menu, that is our signature item and we call it “the Gafford.” Welcome to the Gafford where casual meets upscale.

We were seated at our table and everything was great. Logan was a wonderful server, the food was delicious and perfectly presented. My friends and I try to get together monthly and Oak & Ember is one of our favorite spots. Great food, attentive service, wonderful atmosphere.

The only down side is the excessive noise in the main dining room. You may call it energetic but it is way loud for senior citizens. Other than that, great experience. Waiter Jesus was great.

I received a gift card for my birthday to palm city social, we had some out of town guests coming to visit so I decided let’s try it out. We were all surprised at how nice it was when we all arrived. The decor reminded us of a restaurant on an upscale cruise ship. The food was real good, the only complaint was the filet is over priced. Our server was amazing, she was very attentive to our needs. We will probably go back but just not get the over priced filet.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Kyle G‘s. It was a Wednesday so we ordered 2 lb. Main lobsters that were a special that night. Our waiter, Doug, was terrific. The food was wonderful. The ambience was perfect and the evening was delightful. To top it all off, Doug brought me a cupcake with a lit candle to celebrate my birthday.
