Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. We were dealt with in a very friendly manner. The menu was small which made us feel confident the food would be of good quality. Our expectations were well met as the food, particularly the duck main, was outstanding. We couldn’t fault the main course at all, it was delicious and beautifully presented.

The carvery was lovely. We both had beef and it was so tender. The veg, selection of potatoes and gravy were all great. Great service. Lovely setting.

An excellent Christmas day menu, lovely food and good service. I attended with my 93 year old mum and disabled brother, who both told me they really enjoyed their experience. We have used the restaurant several times before, usually for larger family get togethers. Always good and we will continue to use. Recommended for any occasion.
