From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. There is nothing like an English Sunday roast dinner on a cold winter day to warm the hearts of our family of 6. We had such generous portions of the beef and vegetables we definitely had to take some home and got extra popovers too! The beer and wine list has good choices to satisfy everyone and there is always many food options for kids... the sticky toffee pudding and apple crisp were a delightful finish to a cozy Sunday at the Mansion pub. We will be coming back often.

Menu was extensive, cocktails were creative, food was excellent, and prices mostly very reasonable. Tuna cone small plate was a hit! A little loud in there but overall a great dinner, we’ll definitely be back!

It was our Wedding Anniversary and my parents flew in for the weekend to celebrate with us, the resort was beautifully decorated. Fireplaces going, and Brittany our server was so attentive and made our lunch very special! Thank you
