The RestaurantOur main restaurant is modern with a lantern light ceiling which allows in plenty of natural light to flood in. A great piece of real architectural design. The restaurant boast some wonderful bespoke ironwork along with a vintage industrial feel . This restaurant offers a modern ambiance an ideal place to catch up with family and friends and enjoy our mouthwatering local dishes. The InnThe Inn is full of old world charm with little hidden nucks for dining. This restaurant is full of character and is used at lunch times primarily, but in the evenings, it offers a cosy ambiance lit by candle light ideal for a more casual approach to dining.The Inn also offers an afternoon tea which is simply divine. Served between 2pm-5pm by prior bookings only.The Bar and Snug is a relaxed and super cosy space sticking with the old charm of the Inn which this part of the building offers. It has an impressive wood burning stove and is dog friendly.

Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. Been for Sunday lunch, absolutely fantastic service and same for food, would highly recommend and we look forward to coming back. So good to see so busy for the 2nd week in January, you guys are obviously doing something right!

Food was absolutely delicious, staff were welcoming and attentive. They did find it difficult to keep up with serving and clearing when it got busier but the atmosphere was great and we will definitely be back for more!

Called in for an early breakfast on New Year's Day morning. We were greeted with a friendly welcome, as always. Today was Paul, but all the staff make us feel welcome. Breakfast was served hot and quickly, and as always with top quality products. A good start to 2025 at The Royal for us 😊

We had really nice Christmas lunch. Food was great, as were the staff. Also a good atmosphere, with music and everyone smiling and enjoying themselves. Hadn't been before, so will be good to go back when it's warmer and have a look around the marina at the same time.
