Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes.     Anything but standard, it's well above. The fresh Scallop Crudo was lucious, beautifully balanced in taste and texture. The Arancini perfectly cooked and the Seafood Stew with couscous was a delicate mix of flavors, including lobster.

    The food was outstanding, the staff knowledgeable and Personable. The inside was decorated in such a beautiful festive way you couldn’t help but smile when you walked in the door the guacamole was the best ever and the street con delicious as well as an unbelievable Caesar salad with homemade dressing if I could eat there every day.!

    Everything was excellent but I would suggest dimming the lights earlier. We sat in the space right before the bar and it was too bright around 730p. The lights were eventually dimmed and it made the place more inviting. Also instead of chairs, i think more bench seating like you already have near the bar would enhance the experience and allow for more flexibility for seating different numbers of groups
