Since 2012, Fonda La Catrina has been serving up Mexican comfort food and drink with quality ingredients and lots of love. We are a Mexico City style restaurant and bar located in the heart of the lively and loud Georgetown neighborhood in Seattle. Handmade tortillas, chips, salsas, tacos, braised puerco in salsa verde, tamales, mole de Poblano; all made in house by our talented team in the kitchen. The house made ethos extends to our bar as well. Agave spirits rule with fresh juices, infusions and seasonal fruits that inspire our bar team weekly.     The food was over the top amazing! I had the chopped Duke salad with scallops and shrimp and my husband had the cioppino which he said was the best he’d ever had. Service was excellent. Only downside for me was the noise level which was intense. Guess it’s because it’s such a popular place but really wish there was a way to make it less noisy. I don’t know how other popular restaurants do it. I honestly think that we would have eaten there again tonight since we were still in the area, but I couldn’t stomach the noise.

    Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, attentive staff. There was an error with one of our dishes, but it was delicious anyway and didn’t take away from the experience. This is a hidden gem, very close to the airport, but tucked away in the trees so it feels a world away. I will definitely go back, soon.
