Located in the historic end of the High Street, our aim is to create a relaxed friendly atmosphere while serving the finest comfort food & craft cocktails.We create the magic by slow cooking our ribs and hand pressing our steak burgers in house. Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. The old staff accommodation was renovated into a new hotel, the building that we currently occupy today. All of our dining will be either 6.30 or 7.00pm starts, unfortunately we will not be able to offer any later tables.Our Adult only fine dining restaurant has been awarded two rosettes by the AA for the quality of our food. We aim to host the majority of our summer and early autumn dining, alfresco in our newly built under cover outside dining experience in the garden.     I booked our table on line so easy to do . 4 people Took mum and dad me and my fiancé. Zoey was brilliant and she was so attentive to my mum . The food was lovely Sunday roast , shepherds pie, the ivy burger and supreme chicken all dishes were delicious 😋 We have had great service and good food every time we go . Highly recommend a visit .

    This was our first visit to the lodge. We were really impressed. A lovely big restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of staff about. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and they had good sized portions. A really nice place I am sure we will be back.

    Lovely experience. We had the Peter Pan afternoon tea and it was delicious! We also loved the added touch that £1 per afternoon tea is donated to St Ormond Street Hospital! The display was lovely with lots of fun details. We went on Valentine’s Day and it wasn’t too loud or crowded. We were celebrating a birthday and we received a birthday card and a little chocolate treat with a candle in on the arrival of our tray. Staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommend.

    Our first time and we were not disappointed ..Excellent happy efficient staff.. great service… pretty good wine too… BUT..! Eyes bigger than belly … after a shared starter of Nachos and corn ribs .The O Carolina was at best only half demolished .. lovely as it was … no starters next time …👌🤩🤩🤩🤣.. Would certainly recommend for all you burger and Southern fried chicken connoisseurs…..👌
