Fish Boils- Monday, Wednesday, and FridayCajun Boils- Tuesday, Thursday, and SaturdayFish boils are Door County’s only indigenous dish, brought to the Peninsula by Scandinavian immigrants.Our Masterboiler slices fresh fish into chunks, then boils it with baby red potatoes and sweet onions. The fish boil kettle is brought to a boil over an open fire… when the fish is cooked to perfection, a small amount of kerosene is poured into the base of the fire. The result? A spectacular burst of flames and the famous boil-over that leaves the food ready to be immediately served at your table inside the restaurant.     We had a late lunch on our way up to Sister Bay, but wanted try Chop for dinner as it was highly recommended. We ordered only Caesar Salad and Lobster Bisque and they were perfect and frankly the best we’ve ever experienced. We couldn’t resist the carrot cake and ordered it to go and it was delicious as well. Service was impeccable and our server was delightful. Already planning a return trip!

    My family has been coming to Door County since I was a child and we have seen the progression of restaurants in Door County over the years. The Blue Bear/Della Porta in Ellison Bay is leading a new direction for Door County. Local farm to table food executed in a delicious and simple way is priceless. You can taste the love that goes into the food and service. Definitely going to return many more times.

    Delicious food but fries were cold. Great service. Dining room was cold. Zinc tables don’t help keeping the food hot.

    Pizza was excellent - food great. Dessert -so so. Gelato I think was in freezer too long and chocolate tasted like hersey syrup . Service wonderful .
