Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). We had reservation and asked to be seated in the bar area. Wish we got. The Service was great and the food was wonderful.

Waiter was great, but too busy. One of the plates came out with really rare meat and by the time it was corrected everyone else was just about done eating. He was as attentive as he could be, but we were out on the patio and he was handling 3 tables and 2 large parties. There should’ve been someone to assist. We almost didn’t make our event on time and we gave ourselves 2 hours with the reservation.
