Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season.     Our experience was excellent! A very nice, pleasant restaurant with just the right amount of upscale atmosphere for a special evening out. The food is delicious, and the staff were friendly and top notch. Note, there is parking for the restaurant above it that they will validate.

    On my tenth visit, they never fail to impress. The comfort food and hospitality are always top-notch. They’ll always remain one of my favorite brunch spots.

    We went to dinner with friends and everything was amazing! We had cocktails first , espresso martini was smooth and delicious. We had appetizers of pimento cheese, fried pickles, cornbread and deviled eggs. All were fantastic. Then for entrees we had seared scallops, Parmesan cheese grits, pot roast , and fried chicken. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and accurate. We had a wonderful meal and good times with friends. We will definitely be back.

    I have to say that everything was great. The food was not only delicious but pleasing to the eye. I appreciated being given a menu so you knew what was coming up. The choice of dishes chosen by the chef were spot on! Our server could not have been more attentive. The only thing I can say in the negative (and it definitely not a complaint) is that the tables could have used a holiday touch. We loved our experience and if we’re lucky enough to come back to Chattanooga, dinner at the Forge will definitely be on our list!
