Chose Anernathy’s because of its perfect location for dinner before a performance at the LA Music Center. Lovely patio, excellent food and drinks. Prompt service.

Wonderful specials: veal scpoline, fresh halibut and squid salad.

They don’t pay any attention to the notes or requests that you put on your Open Table reservations. We request 1 of 2 particular table and when we arrive they tell us the tables are occupied. Many tables were empty when we arrived but the 2 we requested were occupied. They should start reading the reservation requests other than the time.

We got off to a very rough start! We texted the restaurant to inform them , due to CRAZY LA traffic, we were going to be approximately 20 minutes late for our reservation. The response was very off putting. We were told that the 10 minute grace period would be strictly enforced and we would be marked as a no show and put on a waiting list. We arrived in fact 16 minutes late for our 5 o clock reservation. The hostess remained firm in adhering to the policy and was unhelpful and negative. I prevailed upon her to see what she could do. Hesitating to be helpful was unacceptable and there’s a serious issue with training to make guests feel welcome. A second hostess did in fact say that she could make it work, acting as if a big gift was being given. Fortunately the food was so spectacular it made up for a truly inhospitable start. Another issue is the staffing for the bar. We ordered 3 cocktails. After quite a long wait only 2 showed up. Another ten minutes at least went by for us to be informed that there was an issue with one if the ingredients in the third cocktail. The server did agree to comp the drink. The hostess issue and bar service prevent me from giving an overall good review despite the fabulous food and beautiful setting and view.

First time. Loved it. Will definitely be returning.
