The Restaurant at BIÂN is a private establishment.BIÂN co-founder and acclaimed restaurateur Kevin Boehm, leads the F&B program at the restaurant at BIÂN. It was designed with intention, is ambitious in its sourcing, and contains broad offerings. On-site Chef Ryan Maher, has curated a menu based on healthy food that is still craveable. The menu’s mission statement: “Creating the best tasting food, that still aligns with member’s health initiatives.”- Maher began baking with his Mother at 5 years old. That early passion for cooking led him to Culinary School at Kendall College and a job at the Peninsula Hotel. In 2014 he met his mentor Chef Lee Wolen of James Beard Award Winning Boka Restaurant Group which began a journey with him at the Michelin starred Lobby at the Peninsula, Michelin starred Boka, and Somerset. Ryan’s special skill sets are highlighted in his role with BIÂN: flexibility of cuisine, managing a team, and curating a menu that is symmetrical to the restaurant’s ethos.

Opening its doors in 1952, Club Lago has anchored the corner of Superior and Orleans since before the neighborhood River North grew up around it. Serving classic Northern Italian specialties from the Garfagnana Valley in Tuscany to steaks, chops and signature sandwiches too, the Lago's staff will recommend the perfect entree for whatever mood you're in. Third generation owners GianCarlo and Guido are pouring the wine or serving the veal--it's a family affair.     Good cocktails and wines by the glass. Escargot, fresh green salad, onion soup were good starters. Chicken & fish (loup de mer) entrees were cooked/prepared perfectly. Ordered sides of macaroni gratin & fries, but these were forgotten and arrived late after the entrees - former was delicious. Dessert of their special souffle very nice. Service tried to be professional & friendly, but we felt rushed to order upon arrival, ie. not given any time to even look at the cocktail list or wine list. Our table location was optimal to hear what the service staff had to say among themselves. Have been a longtime huge fan of Le Bouchon, La Sardine, Chez Moi and Mon Ami Gabi; Obelix is at another level, specializing in duck & dishes for two guests.

    Everything was excellent from the time we walked in the door. Our server Mark was phenomenal with great energy. Food was top tier and very flavorful. We definitely will be back!!

    food for happy hour was salty but you get fries with the wings for $5 so that’s a deal. they don’t have the burgers for it.
