The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass.     We had a good time! Excellent waiter! Food was very good. The individual pizza dough was not its usual good self. Not cooked enough. My chicken parmesan was slightly too well done. The hamburger, French fries, pasta, salad and individual bazookie were delicious.

    My family and I came here to celebrate an early Christmas Eve lunch. The Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful and really filled the restaurant with the perfect ambiance. We ordered French onion soup, sea bass, prime rib and the rack of lamb. All the food was delicious and left my family with full stomachs. Our host, Johnny, was very attentive and popped in just the right amount to check on us without being intrusive. My family agreed we wouldn't hesitate to come back to celebrate another special occasion.

    Great crew, yummy food and super cool environment/ setting. They do a great job of catering to large groups too. Highly recommend for special occasions with a cool/unique vibe!
