While you may not realize it, you have chosen to dine in a Texas Tech University classroom! Skyviews Restaurant is a full-service, largely self-supporting restaurant designed and operated to provide a hospitality laboratory experience for up to 50 students each week. While you are enjoying an excellent meal in the lovely surroundings, students are developing skills and applying knowledge. Every day is a learning experience for our students, and we welcome comments and suggestions as we strive to improve your dining experience. We greatly appreciate your patronage.     The food was excellent! We had the chicken piccata and French opera cake for desert. Every bite was perfect (even on valentines dinner, when usually food quality and service drop at other restaurants). The tiramisu martini and lovers spritz were wonderful as well. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

    Every aspect of the dining experience was spot on, which is especially impressive considering it was Valentine night and the restaurant was packed. Service and food were above average, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the exceptional meal we enjoyed. Double Nickel is a jewel in Lubbock’s crown!

    We had the tenderloin steak and shrimp which was amazing! The steak had a great flavor and was very tender. The shrimp was big and grilled perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking back with us. This is now my favorite steakhouse in Lubbock.

    We liked this anniversary/date night, the food was excellent and so was the service. Would come back. Highly recommending combos that include lobster tail, fish, shrimp and steak.

    Food was delicious! The hummus is so flavorful! Doesn't taste so typical. The pork chop was cooked to leave a faint pink, very, very moist and a delicious crust. Veggies were also well pan roasted with good color and flavor.
