Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store.     Today lunch with family from NY. This restaurant is always a reliable choice for an exceptional dining experience. Even with the hustle & bustle of holiday crowds, our server was courteous, pleasant, and attentive. The food came out fast and was delicious. I was so glad we dined here!

    We brought friends here from out of town and their remarks were, “you are so lucky to have this restaurant in your back yard!” From the starters to the main courses (halloumi salad, chestnut bisque, lobster shrimp bisque, wild mushroom ravioli, salmon, shrimp + scallop risotto, Antonella’s pork chop) we were delighted with each new bite! Seriously, cannot say enough how flavorful these dishes were.

    Our first time here on the recommendation of a friend. We loved it and will go back, and take friends with us. Beautiful location, easy parking, and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Great menu (caters to vegans and vegetarians). Like how it's connected to the nursery which in itself was amazing.

    The food is always excellent, with innovative twists. The service was great, the staff is always pleasant, and you're never rushed. Brunch today, but lunch, dinner, or just drinks, a trip to The Water Wheel is NEVER a disappointment!

    The food was delicious. My husband said he had the best lamp chops ever. The live music was fantastic but loud for such a small venue. We seem to annoy our waitress and had to ask for attention quite a few times. Not sure if they are understaffed. But ambience and food were terrific. Also recommend the meatballs, crabcakes and fish tacos.
