The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. Great value, service, food. Gemma, Ben, Joseph and colleagues in restaurant team were exceptional and tailored the dining experience to our needs based upon previous visits without us even having to ask. As you'd expect, steaks were beautifully cooked and seasoned, good range of delicious starters and desserts. My wife and I attended with our two adult daughters and great cross section of diners in lovely part of town. Thanks for another lovely night team and fir making our annual pre Christmas family night out so special.

I took my staff to this pub for a final lunch before the break and was delighted. Beer was good, food was excellent and the ambience just delightful. Highly recommend the ribs and steak.!!

Food was good and came out quickly, Joe was helpful with reccomendations for beer, cask was good just wish there was a little more range but they said that's getting bigger soon. Overall great evening and would 100% reccomend!
