A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Our wine and beer lists feature our favorite American producers.     A pleasant surprise to come upon Strange Delight- EXCELLENT warm and welcoming professional staff. Food is FRESH and plated beautifully. The overall ambiance and vibe was happy and upbeat. Great place for lunch and a nice way to enjoy a pre-Holiday meal in Brooklyn. We definitely will be back for dinner!!

    This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience before or after a performance at BAM. It’s a few blocks from BAM. There is outdoor seating. We started with spicy guacamole while the mixed ceviche was a hit with our granddaughter, who couldn't get enough of it (it wasn't quite to my taste). Our granddaughter enjoyed her steak tacos, and my pork tostada—which came as a pair—was delicious. My husband's mixed tacos were also delicious. The atmosphere is charming and the staff are attentive. We recommend this place for a delicious meal in a cozy space.

    The food and the service were excellent. I had no issues with the food and our server was top notch. We had a great time and the kids did not want to leave. It was over all a great experience.
