From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. We live off Cape so only get to visit every now and then. Been coming here for years but this was our first time since renovations! Beautiful! Food was great and can’t wait to come back and sit at the bar!

We celebrated a wedding anniversary as well as a milestone birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Also, we have never experienced a sushi meal as a dining option and our introduction to this cuisine was done with “taste”. Thank you for a lovely meal and evening.

We loved our visit to Viera on Main. The restaurant is lovely and the food was delicious. We especially loved the clam chowder and the kale salad. The service was good, too. Highly recommended.
