The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. This was a delicious find! Thought I was going for the brunch menu but ended up being lunch, we were not disappointed. The soup of the day was amazing… garlic and parsnip puree, YUM. Filet sandwich w truffle fries were delish, my friend had goat cheese w apple and onion jam grilled cheese w butternut squash soup… also delish. Espresso martini was the perfect way to cap off a festive holiday get together. We will be back! Thank you for being fresh delicious food to Albany. We need more restaurants like this!

Spectacular meal! Amazing service ! We spent a wonderful evening eating at the bar. Our bartender was amazing and his recommendation’s couldn’t be better. Do not skip the best onion soup we have ever had as well as a most delicious burger. Drinks were amazing as was dessert. If you are in the area we highly recommend!! We will be back .
