Early dining, fixed price menu, excellent value, friendly staff, delicious food. Nice and quiet, normally there in busy times and it can be quite noisy. Perfect early evening out with friends. Thankyou.

The service and food were excellent, it was a little noisy but I'm not surprised as it was busy due to it being an fantastic place to have a meal. We chose off of the lunchtime set menu which was great value for money and we were all impressed with our food.

overall a very good experience, but, far too much salt and black pepper added in the kitchen before the food came out, don't know why they did this. The butternut squash main course was not as described, not charred, just bland, and the butter roast potatoes were wedges that tasted like leftovers tbh. Everything else was very good

We were here for our friends wedding but it was also our first anniversary so we booked at table at the smithy before the party and just wanted to say thank you so much for the extra touches to help make our anniversary extra special.

Excellent local pub in a beautiful village. Friendly staff. High quality food produced by experienced chefs. Dog friendly too!
