Great atmosphere, good portions, excellent food. Staff are always very accommodating. My happy place 😁

First time back since new management took over and we were not disappointed. Food was exceptional and the whilst the menu is limited, it covers most tastes. They have themed evenings so check website to see what’s available. We went on steak night all of which were cooked just right. The fish dish and the vegetarian options were also very good. It’s good to have a decent pub and restaurant in the area again and we wish them luck with venture, we will be back

As always the food was amazing. Only constructive criticism is that the Panna Cotta has changed to strawberry Flavour on a Prosecco jelly base, the original version is much nicer. This doesn’t mean it was bad, it was just disappointing. However, overall the food was delicious.

An incredible meal and overall experience. The staff are fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. It was my birthday, I was astounded to find they'd placed a helium balloon and a birthday card on the table. I have always wanted to try lobster thermidor, so was delighted to try that which included prawns and baby scallops. My wife had a seafood crepe which was quite unusual and delicious. If you want incredible food without the formality of fine dining then look no further - most definitely our favourite restaurant in Yorkshire.

Excellent food, friendly staff and a roaring fire BUT stop adding 10% on the bill. I'll decide if I want to tip. It puts us off visiting.
