Bad Idea is East Nashville's buzziest new restaurant from Sommelier Alex Burch and Executive Chef Colby Rasavong. It was honored as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in America in 2024 by the New York Times. New York Times food writer Brett Anderson remarks “Bad Idea may well be what many seasoned diners thought when they heard there was a wine bar specializing in envelope-pushing Lao food opening inside an East Nashville church.     Our service and dinner was AMAZING!!! Kensington is possibly the best server we have ever had anywhere! She was over the top wonderful! We loved all the dishes we tried and we tried many! Kensington knew so much about every item on the menu and gave us wonderful recommendations. Thank you so much!

    The place is a great atmosphere and it's nice the tables are far enough away from ea h other you don't feel crowded. It did take a VERY long time to get refills on drinks. That was a bit frustrating. And I got the chicken Alfredo that had hardly any chicken on it. There were two pieces about 2" x 2" and then maybe 4 more smaller pieces. For 22$ you'd expect a lot more chicken.
