After being a small takeaway for years and years, the people's favourite chicken restaurant, Peck Peck, has finally answered its customers prayers. Boasting over 35 covers, compared to our previous 8, we are serving up our incredible fried and grilled chicken in our all new spot on mare street, alongside draught beer and house cocktails. Welcome to BEHIND. We are an intimate 1 Michelin star fish-focused tasting menu restaurant run by chef Andy Beynon. Situated on the edge of London Fields, Hackney, BEHIND has 18 kitchen-table seats for lunch and dinner sittings, as well as a relaxed wine bar. BEHIND is Andy Beynon’s first restaurant, opened in October 2020. After just 20 days’ trading it was awarded its first Michelin Star. Andy spent 15 years working in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the country, including with chefs Claude Bosi, Phil Howard and Michael Wignall.

Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side.The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant). With respect to traditions, we will be cooking with integrity and creativity with ingredients and flavours that we love and are passionate about, in a way that is innovative rather than traditional, and most importantly, tasty tasty delicious. We’re talking lamb hearts, smoked beetroots, pickled mussels, seasonal kimchis, miso banoffee.We want everyone to feel at home here, a place for people to come together, the tables will be communal, you'll be asking your neighbour to pass the chilli oil and cheersing the whole table with a round of shots and sauerkraut.     The food was outstanding. The only minor comment I have is that the menu was in Italian and so we did not know what to order for a little while before the waitress explained it to us. Other than that everything was brilliant.

    Amazing fried chicken and friendly service! The portions are insanely generous and seriously good value. Delicious sauces and the sides were also great.

    Pleasant ambience, almost completely full for our visit but a nice buzz of conversation rather than a wall of noise. Staff were lovely and the food was all good, well presented and tasty. Not a large menu so we shared 5 dishes. Also enjoyed a wonderful spiced smoky margarita and the beer choice suited my husband, ie it wasn’t just lager.
