Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. His butchers typical cheeky sense of humour now lives on through his grandchildren along with his knowledge of butchery.In 1997 Leonard’s grandson Richard opened The Station Inn, which quickly generated a great reputation for quality steak. This was our first visit to the Lion and we had booked for Sunday lunch. Whilst the quality of the food was very good one slice of meat didn’t quite just justify £22 in our opinion. Overall the service was good, it was a busy restaurant and the staff you could see were working hard. The rest of the meal was good and we intend to visit again.
