In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Dinner was great. We had the oyster 🦪, lolly pop lamb chops, prime 39 salad 🥗 with shrimp 🍤. The food is always good here.The music was very nice as well.

Megan was our server, she was amazing, food was exceptional and atmosphere was excellent! From the front of the house to back of house, experience was outstanding. Thank you guys again! Well hopefully be back sooner than later.

Very beautiful and quiet space for dinner, lunch or brunch. The food was amazing and the services received were quick and the servers were very warm and professional. Love this place.
