Our menu and theme of the restaurant is inspired by taking classics and adding a modern flare. We renovated a classic American building with contemporary design inside. The menu is taken from classic recipes, sourced locally and given a twist. The items will be familiar yet distinct. You will find presentation to be clean and simple. The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food and wine, and share it with our new nation. Dishes like Potato Lyonnaise and Crème Brulée were the first of his favorites he shared with America. The Benjamin reflects that bridged gap between the two countries’ cultures. The restaurant and bar is french-inspired, but uniquely American. It sits in Ridgefield's historic district in a 1875 house, but the interiors are modern, elegant and new. Chef prepares dishes like Mussels, Foie Gras, Shrimp Toast, Chicken, Halibut, Duck, and more.

    Our server was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the Manilla Clams which were excellent and the Pistachio Encrusted Salmon which was over cooked. I ordered the Baked Rigatoni which was excellent.

    This is a hidden Italian gem. The food was simply delicious and its always a joy dining under the atrium! Service was great and the bread is always a highlight!

    Service was knowledgeable, friendly and confident. The food was cooked and presented perfectly. We highly recommend the deviled eggs and fried oysters as a starter!

    We really enjoyed our dinner at Marcelo’s. We started with the roasted beet salad and the Italian Calamari. The calamari was amazing. The sauce was so good we used our bread to get every drop. I had the cod and my husband had the pasta with the short rib. Bother we’re very good. We had great and attentive service. We will definitely be back.
