The Cliff Hotel dates back to 1890 when the original hotel was opened, in 1915 the building was ravaged by fire and demolished. The old staff accommodation was renovated into a new hotel, the building that we currently occupy today. Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. Quite honestly we both had sirloin steak which we said was probably the best we’ve ever had.

Another wonderful afternoon tea experience at The Assembly House. Great service, wonderful food and a great start to our Christmas celebrations. Thank you so much to all the staff who continue to deliver a wonderful experience in the most amazing building.

Amazing staff, very friendly and nothings too much. Big table but they took our order and got our food out quickly. Food was delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Exceptional service and a lovely dining experience as usual. We tried the festive afternoon tea which was delicious, however for us there wasn’t enough savoury and too much sweet. For the cost I would have liked at least a savoury scone option or a sausage roll maybe. Still a lovely experience and we will return to eat from the main menu.
