The White Horse is a delightful old pub in Hatching Green. Five minutes from the bustling centre of Harpenden on the one hand and Junction 9 of the M1 on the other, the pub has a lovely country setting, surrounded by a large leafy garden and terrace.The bar is warm and cosy, with old parquet and low beams hung with antique copper jugs, while the dining room is light & fresh, its French windows opening onto a sunny terrace.     Lovely lunch, with good sized portions. We had a missing item from one of our starters. When this was bought to the staff's attention, they apologised immediately and sent complimentary chips to the table. The rest of the meal was delicious and came without any issues. Even better, when the bill came, staff had also deducted the price of one of our drinks to again apologise for the earlier problem. Can't fault the customer service.

    The White Horse is our go to when we don’t feel like cooking dinner and our most recent experience did not disappoint. Everyone in the group was very happy with their meal - super tasty and the perfect amount of food. Good selection of wines as well
