The RestaurantOur main restaurant is modern with a lantern light ceiling which allows in plenty of natural light to flood in. A great piece of real architectural design. The restaurant boast some wonderful bespoke ironwork along with a vintage industrial feel . This restaurant offers a modern ambiance an ideal place to catch up with family and friends and enjoy our mouthwatering local dishes. The InnThe Inn is full of old world charm with little hidden nucks for dining. This restaurant is full of character and is used at lunch times primarily, but in the evenings, it offers a cosy ambiance lit by candle light ideal for a more casual approach to dining.The Inn also offers an afternoon tea which is simply divine. Served between 2pm-5pm by prior bookings only.The Bar and Snug is a relaxed and super cosy space sticking with the old charm of the Inn which this part of the building offers. It has an impressive wood burning stove and is dog friendly.

Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. We ate in the bar area as we were with our dog & loved the new tables & chairs! The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The food was delicious.

Lovely evening ,excellent table service. Disappointed no appropriate sauces for the meals and would have been better to have the curry served with poppadoms/naan bread. All food was tasty and gd portions.

The food was delicious and our waiter was friendly and welcoming. The menu is fairly limited but they have meat, fish and vegetarian items and appear to change the menu regularly. Cost is higher than average but you get what you pay for. Recommended.

Really good. Lovely food and service. Was a concern about recent negative reviews however no issues at all during our visit (except the accidental dropped tub of fries that was swiftly replaced 🙂) Partner loved the white bate fish.
