Set in 22 acres of stunning parkland Paris House is located on the Duke of Bedford's Estate in Woburn. Paris House blends modern culinary techniques with traditional foods to create a 6 course tasting menu. Paris House was originally built in 1878 in Paris. At the end of the 19th Century the timber framed building was dismantled and shipped piece by piece to its current home in the stunning grounds of Woburn Park. In January 2014 Paris House was bought by the businesses’ award winning Executive Chef Phil Fanning. The White Horse is a delightful old pub in Hatching Green. Five minutes from the bustling centre of Harpenden on the one hand and Junction 9 of the M1 on the other, the pub has a lovely country setting, surrounded by a large leafy garden and terrace.The bar is warm and cosy, with old parquet and low beams hung with antique copper jugs, while the dining room is light & fresh, its French windows opening onto a sunny terrace. In our charming private dining room, up a winding stair in the oldest part of the pub, we can comfortably host a dinner party for twelve.

My wife and I dined at The White Lion yesterday and very much enjoyed the meal there and felt very welcome by the staff. I seem to recall that under the previous management, prices on the menu were a bit high for our liking, but now they seem more reasonable and this time we certainly got value for our money !

Lussmans Harpenden never disappoints. Lovely food, attentive but discreet service. Staff are on point. Eating out these days isn't cheap anywhere, so for a small amount more it's worth every penny. Beautiful setting too!

Cane for my birthday party we had a great time staff was very attentive and welcoming. Food was delicious and reasonable prices drinks would recommend
