Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. Food and service both excellent as they always are at The Riverside. Cant say I was much taken with the "smoked butter" but this is just personal taste. I had the pork terrine as a starter, this was delicious but I would have appreciated some bread or a roll to have with it, but this is splitting hairs. The meal was excellent.

Stayed here overnight and booked a table in the restaurant. Fantastic friendly service and the food was delicious! Totally recommend (I’d also recommend staying the rooms and location are lovely).

We as a couple went for the butchery night on a Friday and we must say the food we had was cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive. Couldn't fault anything.

An excellent Christmas day menu, lovely food and good service. I attended with my 93 year old mum and disabled brother, who both told me they really enjoyed their experience. We have used the restaurant several times before, usually for larger family get togethers. Always good and we will continue to use. Recommended for any occasion.
