The story of St Andrews Beach Brewery dates back to the early 2000’s, when our Co-founder Andrew Purchase built the racetrack on the property for the royal family of Australian horse racing – the Freedman Brothers. When the property became available in 2015, Andrew and Michael Freedman saw an opportunity that was too good to miss. With the infrastructure in place and with a story like no other, Andrew, Michael and their passionate team of co-owners set about turning the former stables into a truly unique brewery.Before you book a stable in our one of a kind refurbished stables, please note the following; Stable bookings can seat groups from 5-20 and for a maximum of 3 hours. If you are unable to book at your preferred time all of our reserved seating is booked. Brilliant night in the hands of Jo and the team at Captains. Flavoursome pizzas, excellent choice in toppings, great wine from the local region and a buzzy festive atmosphere - so lucky to have a restaurant like Captains. Staff were a delight - always chirpy and super helpful! We will be back again …. and again!!!

Food and service was good but table for 6 has very limited options. Outside tables are not so recommended in busy weekend or Christmas time. Birds, smoking smell, heat and lot of noise from people walking around you. Overall entre portion was also small for the price<

The food was good, I was just annoyed that they don’t do steaks for lunch. Never been to a pub that does this. A bit annoyed. As we travelled 2 hours to come down to the beach and have a steak at the pub. Could’ve gone elsewhere but when you’ve got 3 little kids you don’t really want to be getting back in the car.
