It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation.     The restaurant was hopping! We have been a few times and tonight enjoyed the specials. The food is always good but the specials along with wine pairings was excellent! It was fun to be able to taste wines ahead of time with the special wine tasting they were hosting. The fried artichoke appetizer from the regular menu is a favorite of ours as well. Can't wait to come back. This is quickly becoming one of our go to MoCo places.

    My husband and I went here on a date. It was a great experience. Really good selection of wines and cocktails. Food menu had lots of good choices for bigger entrees plus smaller plates. Waitress was awesome and she even had the owner come check on us bc we were new. Food was delicious-we had crab Brie dip, chicken pot pie which was best I ever had, and coconut rice/chicken. We also loved the bread pudding! Small space but really good vibe and live music on Friday night when we went. We will go again!

    Food was excellent and service was great. The reason I have it 4 and not 5 stars in some categories is because the tables were too tight and crammed together and therefore the noise level was too high (especially for my senior parents)

    Food was good, service excellent. Portions are huge. We get another night's dinner out of the leftovers we take home.
