We are a family-owned and operated restaurant, with head chef Don Winkie leading the kitchen. At present, with business hours adjusted due to challenges of re-opening during the pandemic, Eighty Acres Kitchen & Bar is serving a modified brunch, dinner, and take-out Thursday-Sunday from 11:30 am - 9pm. The patio is open! Please call us directly to reserve your spot on the patio. Due to social distancing, reservations are strongly encouraged for bar and dining room seating. The Hartwood Restaurant enjoys a rich history. The originally the headquarters of the Harmar Coal Company. Purchased in 1988, the building was transformed into retail space, including antiques and a bookstore.     We loved the restaurant ! Great menu … and the margaritas came “smoking “ Mexican Rolls were great and enjoyed by all . Wonderful decor and comfortable chairs . Do not miss celebrating a birthday at this restaurant ….A very festive celebration . Put this new restaurant on your list of places to visit !!!

    The pasta dishes were superb, as was the salad with lump crab meat and avocado. The panini, however, was disappointing. The bread was two slabs of thick, Texas-style bread, and the filling was very thick. Along with the Italian meats and cheese, there was shredded lettuce. If it was cooked on a Panini Press, the chef/cook forgot to close and press it. Obviously, whoever made the Panini has never been to Italy.

    Our dinners were delicious and since we all have birthdays this week we celebrated with Tiramisu! Love this restaurant!
