Hello, we had a great time last night at Earl. Food was delicious and my table of 5 enjoyed themselves. However, there were a few things that could be improved upon: 1) Service - there were two occasions where the table was left without drinks and water, I had to ask for water in the end. Although busy last night, staff accordingly for what I would assume is one of the busiest nights of the week. 2) Sound - sound dampening needs to be improved, could barely hear the person beside me and we are all in our 40’s, I could only imagine how hard it would be for older people who have hearing problems. 3) Parking- although it is out of your hands the construction on the street outside, indicating on your website where there is available parking would be very helpful. Thank-you for the overall nice evening. Earl has the potential to be one of the best restaurants in Christchurch, keep striving for excellence.

Food was great, staff were friendly but you were horrendously understaffed. We had a booking at 6:15pm yesterday and we got there in time and we didn't get our meals until 8:00. That is quite ridiculous especially for a birthday dinner. We also struggled to get served after he provided us drinks. The tables were all full of dirty plates and it didn't seem like anyone was cleaning them up. I'm usually positive in reviews but I felt this one needed to be reported to you as this was my first time in Cobb and Co. I liked the menu but that wait was something else and has put a dampner on the night.
