Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar.     The food was fantastic! French onion soup, steaks, sides, sauces, and carrot cake were all delicious, cooked perfectly, and beautiful presentation. Our booth was private and quiet. The only issue we had was with the wine list- wines by the glass were very expensive and no red zinfandels on the list, so I ordered a bottle - the only zin in the list, and they were out of it. So back to the wines by the glass, I asked to sample two that were most zin like and they were out of one so she brought me another that was twice as expensive. It was best but I’m not paying $24 for a glass of wine, and I feel like they should have offered it to me at the price of the other wine. I ended up having a beer…

    We absolutely loved it. Top notch service, delicious food and crafted cocktails. Next time I want to try the Smokey Manhattan that a nearby table enjoyed. Quite impressive and a treat for all to smell and see. We can’t wait to come back! Thrilled with their service team from start to finish. The warm greeting and extra attention from their manager was above and beyond. Thank you for giving me and my girls such a perfect night. See you soon!

    We had a great time! The service was good. Our server was on top of orders, refills, and checked in on a regular basis. Chef Jordan was fantastic! He cooked everything perfectly and was great with the kids at the table.
