Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. Delicious food - the nachos currently on the menu were amazing. The chicken breast and NY steak were delicious and perfectly prepared. I do miss the ribeye that use to be on the menu.

Finally a great steakhouse in Eugene!! From the minute you walk into Kennedy's, you feel welcomed! We were there for my son's fiance's birthday and when we got to our table, there was a hand written note from the manager (I am assuming), wishing her a happy birthday! Our waitress was phenomenal, very attentive! The food starting from the bread to the appetizers, main dishes and dessert were all delicious! I highly recommend Kennedy's Steakhouse!!

The service and the food were excellent. The noise level was a bit high due to the open floor plan but the ambiance was very comfortable. We will be back.
