The kitchen, headed up by Krizstian Balogh, focusses on great British food and features a wealth of local produce. Fantastic pub classics feature strongly alongside accomplished dishes. Real Ales and local Ciders sit proudly amidst the eclectic selection of wines to suit every budget. To make the most of a visit to the Charlton, there are nine comfortable en-suite bedrooms. The breakfast menu, from Clun Valley Eggs, locally cured bacon and Ludlows' famed sausages to the finest smoked salmon has something for everyone. Independently run by Cedric and Amy Bosi, a warm welcome is guaranteed. Children are welcome and are provided with a children's menu. Welcome to Aberdunant Hall where we have our fantastic outdoor heated terrace (during peak season), cosy restaurant with an ambient atmosphere in which to dine. Our Menu consists of a number of classic dishes, steaks and meats from the Grill as well as a collection of more sophisticated plates. As we are now in our Winter Season Dinner is served Friday & Saturday evening with our fabulous Home cooked Carvery on Sundays. We only serve quality wines and beers and the tastiest food which is sourced from local suppliers. Adam Ellis our Exec Chef has designed our menus with a wide variety of options for special diets and with just a little tweak can be altered to suit the majority or diets. We also have an area for guests who wish to bring their dogs when you dine. However please note that this must be notified in advance. He moved away from Ludlow to gather experience which took him to France, where he cooked for 2 Michelin starred Jean-Luc Rabanel.Zach Hermon's career started at the age of 15. He has worked at some of the country's most prestigious restaurants including Raymond Blanc's 2 Michelin starred 'Le Manoir aux quat saisons' and more recently 2 Michelin starred 'Moor Hall' in Lancashire - Winner of first place at The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Hive. Excellent Christmas dinner and ice cream and sundae to follow. Highly recommended. We sat upstairs which was very pleasant atmosphere.

We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.

We had a lovely meal at Cote. Good food is always guaranteed and service was excellent despite it being busy. My dessert arrived with Happy Birthday in chocolate writing which was a nice touch.

Due to graduation at the University everywhere was fully booked. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us( party of 5 with 2 having mobility issues). Food was good value for money and was prompt. Would visit again
