Food was good, a little overpriced for what it is. Server was very attentive. Not a quiet, romantic date kind of atmosphere. Maybe if you were seated in the back? Would go again with family or a group of friends.

Some meats were tough. The beef ribs were excellent. Service is always exceptional. Desserts were excellent

The appetizer (Fried Green Tomatoes with andouille cream sauce and cheese grits) was delicious. Fresh, the cream sauce was perfect and the grits had a nice texture and cheesy flavor. My date had the 9 oz filet, ordered medium with the brussel sprouts. The flavor on the filet was perfect but it was cooked to medium rare at best, possibly rare. The Brussels sprouts were perfect. I had the 10oz sirloin, ordered medium rare. It was rare, which I didn't mind. I know sirloin can be a tougher, leaner cut but even cooked rare it was very tough and stingy. I have cooked better sirloins using Costco cuts on my pellet grill. We could not have asked for better service or a better atmosphere. We were seated near the fireplace and our server was personal, prompt and attentive.

We loved our time at Char today, and Cassidy did an exceptional job as our server. The NOLA shrimp and blueberry bread pudding were perfect bookends to our meal. A+

BWW’s in Decatur will not accept the open table reservations. The last three I have done they have declined to honor it. Said it was corporate only and not the Decatur store
