From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. From the bonds staff made during countless summer seasons, to the engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and family gatherings, Pates has been a backdrop for exceptional moments and people.     It was such a pleasure to be welcomed into the restaurant by the Blue Fins team. We were a group of 6 and our table was already waiting for us. Staff could not have been more friendly helpful. Everyone’s dinner was delicious. Will be back again!!!

    Our first experience at Pate’s with new ownership. The food was honestly the best we’ve had in recent memory. Highly recommend the pork chops and the filet. Our guests had the salmon and the pasta dish and were raving about them. Can’t wait to go back!

    Very nice ambiance - we had reservations for the dining room but decided to sit at the bar because it looked so inviting. Had chowder which was excellent. My husband had the haddock picatta and I had the baked cod. Both were delicious!

    Enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day multi course dinner with my lovely wife. The view, food and service couldn’t have been better. Certainly one of the finer restaurants on the cape if not MA. We have dined here before but we forget just how wonderful this place is. Staff (includes chef, food prep) couldn’t have been more spot on. Enjoy
