It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Was seated right away even tho I was early and part of my party wasn’t there. Great service. Greeted promptly. Everyone was friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed, inviting. This is our second time going for Christmas Eve and will definitely be back to be able to sit outside in the warmer months. Food was delicious and inventive. Loved the hand crafted drinks. All in all a great experience.

Food was great, service good, lighting was not the great in some spots of the restaurant. Sitting by the windows at night time they had all the lights off inside so it was harder to see the menu and your food. Other than the lighting/ambience leaving something to be desired, the place is great and food is some of the best in the area!

The food and drinks were amazing 10/10❤️ we celebrated my big brothers 50th birthday and they provided a free dessert as well. Can’t wait to go back.
