Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. We had the special for the evening. The chicken was very good; however, the potatoes were not thoroughly cooked and had hard undercooked pieces in the mash. Service by Patty was excellent.

We go to the Landing on a somewhat regular basis. I really like the new menu - new interesting items like the tuna poke nachos! The cocktails are excellent and the quality of the food is consistently good.
