Located on High Holborn, close to the British Museum, the restaurant is elegantly designed and filled with original Indian art and antique furniture including century old items made for Maharajas which take diners on a journey through Indian culture and history. The menu reflects regional accents with a contemporary viewpoint. It is food that observes the established traditions of Indian cooking but breaks the rules a little by Executive Chef Sohan Bhandari. Our menu goes beyond a 1970’s “Curry”, beyond street food and into a world of real Indian flavours. Our signature dishes include our traditional lunch Tiffin, Khaati Rolls , Colonel Saab’s smoked lamb shank and figs poached in Assam tea cognac.The bar is a great meeting place and afterwork destination serving signature house cocktails created to compliment the menu. The staff were great kind and very helpful. They stopped to help when called and fully explained how long it would take for all the meat to be cooked Which was great.

Great food - the King Prawn and Monkfish curry and the Sea Bass were both outstanding, as was the Artic Roll dessert. Great choice of drinks too.

I’ve been coming to My Old Dutch in Holborn for nearly forty years. Apart from the loss of the lovely traditional Delft plates (must have weighed a ton so understandably not very practical) it remains reassuringly familiar in terms of yummy content and speedy service. The decor has been freshened and it’s all very pleasing.
