Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.

    There are wonderful food options on the North Shore these days and in our opinion Joey’s, on many occasions is consistently among them. Last evening for our 29th anniversary certainly confirmed our overall impressions of Joey’s. In our case we enjoyed the Asian fusion flavours of our appetizer and meal, really appreciated a meal adaption that supported special dietary request, the interactive and conversational attitude of Paige that was quick to joke along with us and general ambience.     Great spot for a big group! We book 20 person work Christmas dinner last minute and we had a great table, great service and great selection of drink and food options. Overall great experience.

    Excellent menu and food. Unfortunately the heat wasn’t working in the restaurant so we were uncomfortably cold and eat lunch with our coats on.
