Riccardo and Marybeth welcome you to their 3rd property, Maribella Ristorante. Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, and Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. With a curated wine list, local craft beer on tap, and beautifully executed menu, Riccardo and Marybeth are thrilled to bring R Wine Bar & Kitchen to the East Bank of Downtown Sioux Falls along with their General Manager, Jane Allen, Assistant Manager Bailey Bernal, Sous Chef Caleb Carr, Sous Chef Esteban Gonzalez, and Culinary Director Adam Schumacher.

A group of 3 of us had a wonderful dinner. We all enjoyed the lobster bisque to start with their bread service. The butter of the night was a cherry butter, surprisingly delicious. We also all enjoyed steaks, but all had something different. I had the prime rib, they had the filet medallions and a del monico ribeye. We shared asparagus and risotto for sides. All highly recommended.

Perfect place for a quiet couple dinner enjoying a glass of wine, a quality plate of pasta and a scoop of gelato or affogato. The lobster pasta (sorry - horrible with the Italian names) was delicious - as has been anything we try. The service is knowledgable, friendly and prompt. Not our first time - it is a regular stop!
